Chiropractic Rehabilitation Techniques

"Every organ, tissue and cell in the body is under the direct control of your body's central nervous system."

The human body is designed to work within certain physical parameters. When these parameters are compromised, you have an abnormal condition. Your glands, mucous membranes, heart rate, respiration, digestion, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, kidneys, large & small colon, bladder, and reproductive organ functions, as well as everything else, is directly controlled by your central nervous system!

After evaluation, including your medical history, physical and neurological examinations, plus X-Rays and other testing, if needed, Dr. Stewart will recommend a comprehensive program for you. Among the methodologies we will utilize are chiropractic adjustments. This is not "back cracking" as some would call it, but a gentle technique that requires education and great skill and care.

Chiropractors use a myriad of adjustment techniques; Dr. Stewart uses some of the most gentle and effective techniques such the Activator Technique. This technique uses an instrument called the Activator to make your adjustment.

Cox Technique uses traction for low back and disc problems. A Diversified Technique may utilize more than one method but will involve spinal adjustment. These are just some of the many techniques that Dr. Stewart may utilize depending on your condition.

In addition therapeutic modalities such as, Trigger Point Therapy, Massage, Acupressure, Electric Muscle Stimulation, Traction, Exercise Programs and Instruction, and Nutritional Intervention will be implemented depending upon your needs.

Dr. Stewart treats your skeletal, nervous and muscular system, especially the spine. He recognizes that any interference with these systems impairs the body's normal functions and lowers your resistance to disease.

Chiropractic is one of the largest primary health care professions in the Western World; it is included as part of mainstream health care. It is a regulated health profession recognized in all industrialized countries and all American states. It is a coverable service within most health care insurance plans.

Chiropractic treatment and intervention is a highly effective form of treatment for neuro-musculoskeletal disorders and related conditions such as: neck and back pain, headaches, strains, sprains, shoulder problems, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, sports injuries, auto injuries...such as Whiplash, Slipped Disc, pinched nerves, Sciatica, Repetitive Stress Injuries, Repetitive Motion Injuries, Fibromyalgia and many more related musculoskeletal disorders.

Spinal manipulation applied by chiropractors is shown to be more effective than alternative treatments for lower back pain.
